TL;DR
Electrical Design Engineer (High Voltage): Translating system requirements into robust high-voltage electrical architectures and integrating power sources into electrified machine platforms with an accent on safety, regulatory compliance, and system validation. Focus on designing cable and harness systems, troubleshooting prototype machines, and providing technical leadership for component selection and risk assessment.
Location: Must be based in Clayton, NC (On-site 5 days per week)
Salary: $128,470 – $192,710

What you will do
- Develop high-voltage electrical system architectures and translate requirements into detailed designs.
- Design and oversee high-voltage cable and harness systems, including routing and fabrication.
- Integrate electric drivetrains and accessory systems into prototype and testbed machines.
- Lead electrical system commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Mentor engineers on high-voltage safety standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US (Visa sponsorship not offered)
- Must be able to work on-site in Clayton, NC, five days per week
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering
- Experience designing and validating machine electrical systems and architectures
- Proficiency with Creo and Visualization Mockup for harness design
- Knowledge of electric machine components, CAN communications, and FMEA
