Senior Performance Engineer (Golang)

What you will do

• Design and execute global load testing strategies using k6 and JMeter, simulating real-world traffic patterns and high-load scenarios.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across backend services, Aurora MySQL databases, and Kafka messaging systems.
• Develop internal performance tooling and automation in Golang to create "Load as a Service" for product teams.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines as quality gates to prevent performance regressions before production.
• Monitor system health using Grafana, Prometheus, and other observability tools to drive data-driven optimizations.
• Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams on capacity planning and tuning autoscaling strategies in AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, SRE, or Load Testing.
• Strong programming proficiency in Golang, Kotlin, or Java.
• Expertise in k6 or JMeter DSL for performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, ALB/NLB) and autoscaling (KEDA, Karpenter).
• Deep understanding of network performance, profiling (Golang, Kafka, Redis), and SRE principles (SLO, error budgets).
