What you will do

• Design, analyze, and integrate components with optical devices to demonstrate prototypes.
• Develop and test systems based on optic, photonic, and laser technologies.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to specify and qualify active and passive optical components.
• Implement test procedures and select appropriate instrumentation for system verification.
• Perform root cause analysis for highly technical problems and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute high-quality content for technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Masters or PhD preferred).
• 3-5+ years of experience in Optical Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
• Proficiency in digital and analog electronics circuit design and real-time embedded firmware development.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
