VFX Artist Intern (Gamedev)

Location: Must be based in or be able to work fully from the hirify.global Office

What you will do

• Create and implement real-time VFX for gameplay, environments, and cinematic sequences.
• Develop VFX assets using Unreal Engine’s Niagara system.
• Implement particle systems, materials, and shaders under the guidance of senior team members.
• Integrate VFX assets into game levels based on provided concepts and feedback.
• Apply VFX optimization techniques to maintain performance and visual quality.
• Collaborate with Art, Technical Art, Design, and Animation teams to meet project requirements.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine, specifically the Niagara VFX system.
• Understanding of VFX fundamentals, including timing, readability, color, motion, and shape language.
• Portfolio or personal projects demonstrating VFX work in Unreal Engine or other real-time engines.
• Final-year student or recent graduate in Game Development, Computer Graphics, Animation, Digital Art, or a related field.
• Willingness to work fully from the hirify.global Office.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with particle systems, materials, and shaders.
• Basic understanding of performance considerations for real-time visual effects.
