Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Mobile (Web3): Building and scaling a unified in-app messaging engine and platform for a global crypto exchange with an accent on performance, reliability, and AI-native engineering. Focus on developing multi-platform SDKs, optimizing real-time networking under weak-network conditions, and integrating conversational AI features for millions of users.
Location: Must be based in Hong Kong with a current right to work (no visa sponsorship provided)

What you will do
- Build and maintain a multi-platform unified IM SDK to ensure performance and stability.
- Platformize the messaging engine to support community chat, payments, and VIP services.
- Develop user-to-agent AI chat surfaces, including real-time delivery and interaction experiences.
- Own end-to-end delivery, including WebSocket long-connections and offline push across global and China vendor channels.
- Push performance limits regarding memory, battery, and concurrency under production loads.
- Implement AI-native engineering practices, including automated workflows, agents, and evaluation harnesses.
Requirements
- Must have current right to work in Hong Kong (no visa sponsorship).
- Deep hands-on experience with native iOS and/or Android development.
- Experience with shared business-logic layers (Rust, KMP, Flutter, or React Native).
- Strong proficiency in at least one of: Swift, Kotlin, Rust, Objective-C, Java, or JavaScript.
- Architecture experience with large-scale mobile applications and maintainable design patterns.
- Solid grasp of LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, and agent concepts with hands-on experience in AI pipelines.
Nice to have
- Experience building or maintaining IM/chat products or SDKs.
- Knowledge of mini-program or dynamic/hot-update frameworks.
- Prior experience in crypto trading or Web3.
