TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (AI): Developing and implementing AI-powered features and scalable software solutions for a financial institution with an accent on integrating ML models and generative AI services. Focus on designing secure AI architectures, optimizing prompt performance, and mentoring staff in AI-augmented workflows.
Location: Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, VA, CA, or NC. Candidates in Washington state within reasonable driving distance from Tukwila are required to be onsite Tuesdays & Wednesdays; others in approved states are remote.
Salary: $110,100 – $204,900 annually

What you will do
- Develop and implement complex application features integrating AI/ML models and service APIs.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure AI systems aligned with enterprise standards.
- Write high-quality, tested code and establish best practices for AI workflow integration.
- Troubleshoot AI performance issues, including inference bottlenecks and prompt optimization.
- Identify AI integration patterns and automation strategies to drive innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to assess technical feasibility and define the AI roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience writing production code in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/React, or Python, with experience integrating AI/ML services.
- Experience with SQL and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of secure coding standards, TDD, and responsible AI practices.
- Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, VA, CA, or NC.
Nice to have
- Experience leading AI feature development in production environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with ML Ops, vector databases, and embedding pipelines.
- Advanced prompt engineering techniques.
