Location: Hybrid role based at the Tochigi Plant in Tochigi, Japan
Company
is a medical devices company whose Tochigi Plant manufactures and exports injection needles to affiliated sites in Germany, Malaysia, and the United States.
What you will do
- Develop production plans for injection needles based on demand from overseas sites and ensure timely execution.
- Manage manufacturing schedules, overseas shipments, inventory, warehouse operations, and delivery control.
- Coordinate with Japan, APAC, global, internal, external, and subcontractor stakeholders to align capacity with production requirements.
- Establish and standardize production planning and inventory management processes, including capacity expansion and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Propose production equipment and investments, and drive cost reduction, quality enhancement, and lead-time reduction.
- Manage and develop employees in the Production Controls and Logistics Management sections.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 5 years of experience in production control or production planning.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships in Japan, APAC, and global environments.
- Experience working with English documentation and communicating regularly with overseas sites; English is required.
- People management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of production processes, machinery, or equipment.
- SAP experience.
