Associate Manager Digital Services (Manufacturing)

Location: Zejtun, Malta. The role is based predominantly on the shopfloor, with working hours and shift schedules changing according to business requirements.

What you will do

• Manage and develop the Digital Services team, including training plans, skill matrices, objectives, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Maintain and support digital systems, hardware, software, automatic inspection, personalisation, configuration, and production data outputs.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, system integration, acceptance testing, documentation, SOP creation, and collaboration with OEMs and suppliers.
• Support technical projects, product functionality trials, customer requirements, and personalisation processes.
• Provide data interpretation and traceability support for quality investigations, audits, customer complaints, and operational reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean problem-solving, operational excellence, and collaboration with Engineering, IT, NPI, Quality, and shopfloor teams.

Requirements

• MQF Level 6 or higher in ICT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience with digital systems, variable data printing, product inspection, system integration, or related fields.
• Experience leading initiatives and projects in a manufacturing environment and setting up, maintaining, integrating, and optimizing hardware and software systems.
• Very good knowledge of camera-based inspection systems, digital image processing, IT troubleshooting, modern and legacy operating systems, and hardware/software integration.
• Advanced programming skills, preferably C#, together with scripting, SQL database management, advanced Excel, and standard business applications.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work independently, lead teams, document technical information, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Certifications in project management, ITIL, or related disciplines.
• Interest in Industry 4.0.
• Experience with manufacturing methods, tools, and routines.
