TL;DR
Android Software Engineer (Kotlin/Fintech): Building and shipping native Android features for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and other financial services with an accent on clean user flows, performance, and reliable mobile experiences. Focus on integrating backend APIs, improving crashes and responsiveness, and building AI-assisted features that simplify complex financial journeys.

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the Taiwan office

What you will do

  • Build and ship native Android features using Kotlin.
  • Create mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services.
  • Work with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
  • Integrate backend REST APIs and maintain stable, secure, and reliable mobile flows.
  • Improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
  • Use analytics, user behavior, production issues, and AI-assisted features to improve the product experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
  • Strong Android fundamentals and experience shipping production applications.
  • Knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases, and user flows.
  • Strong English communication is required; English is the main working language across global teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, SQL or NoSQL, and TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.
  • App links, GitHub, screenshots, or examples of shipped work.
