Compensation: CA$291,250 – CA$341,250

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and execution for the storage team, from design to deployment.
• Provide deep technical oversight through design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Mentor and coach engineers while growing a diverse, high-performing team.
• Define team deliverables and ensure platform availability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate user needs into technical roadmaps.
• Improve engineering processes, tooling, and standards to increase velocity.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale production systems.
• 2+ years of experience in managing and leading teams for mission-critical, high-throughput systems.
• Experience with Redis, Postgres, and blob storage solutions like S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage.
• Strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to drill deep into system design.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Ontario.

Nice to have

• Extensive development experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
