What you will do
- Review and validate high-throughput binding data from SPR and BLI runs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Judge curve quality, identify artifacts, and determine whether samples require re-running.
- Communicate complex experimental results and data interpretations directly to customers, including biophysicists and ML researchers.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Python or R to automate data analysis and identify systematic patterns across large batches.
- Collaborate with software teams to translate manual review insights into concrete requirements for pipeline improvements.
- Analyze data from additional assays including thermostability, expression, and enzyme activity.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with binding kinetics.
- Deep expertise in SPR and BLI platforms such as Biacore, Carterra, Octet, or Gator.
- Strong data analysis skills using Python or R to process and visualize large datasets.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
- Comfortable explaining complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences and managing customer expectations.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with other biophysical or functional assays like DSF, HPLC, or plate-based activity assays.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate data analysis and database querying.
