What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of design engineers, providing technical guidance and resource allocation.
• Design and develop UAV assemblies, structural components, and complex mechanical systems.
• Oversee the development of production documentation, including 3D models, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Guide prototype development and validation through functional, structural, and environmental testing.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between R&D, Manufacturing, Testing, and Supply Chain teams.
• Implement design improvements based on test result analysis to ensure serial production readiness.

Requirements

• Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Design Engineer in mechanical engineering, aerospace, or UAV industries.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or technical projects.
• Proficiency in CAD systems (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or Inventor) with advanced surface modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Must be located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Expert-level proficiency in CATIA.
• Experience in rocket engineering or managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with composite materials, lightweight structures, and electronics integration.
• English or German language proficiency.
