Principal Data Scientist (Fintech)

What you will do

• Manage the full analytical lifecycle from problem definition and model development to deployment and business adoption.
• Develop ML models and statistical frameworks to support pricing, risk management, and financial crime detection.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and root causes behind business outcomes.
• Design and execute experimentation frameworks, including A/B tests and champion-challenger methodologies.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to the global Data Science community through knowledge sharing and best-practice development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Advanced Analytics.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for handling large and complex datasets.
• Experience delivering end-to-end ML projects, including feature engineering and monitoring.
• Strong English communication skills for working in an international environment.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Istanbul.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark and cloud-based analytical environments.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, Git, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with model deployment processes and experimentation frameworks.
