TL;DR
SAP BI Specialist (SAP BW/4HANA): Designing, implementing, and maintaining reporting, analytics, data models, ETL flows, and dashboards for global business domains with an accent on SAP BW/4HANA architecture, SAP HANA optimization, and secure BI solutions. Focus on developing ODP-based integrations, debugging ABAP BW transformations and process chains, and translating business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.

Location: Guangzhou, China

What you will do

  • Design and implement reporting and analytics solutions for business domains worldwide.
  • Gather requirements with functional teams, Business Process Managers, and domain leads.
  • Design and develop data models, ETL flows, dashboards, and technical architectures.
  • Implement authorization models, compliance controls, documentation, and knowledge transfer for key users.
  • Identify improvements and innovations across the BI and Analytics environment.
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for BI applications.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of data engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA data modeling, including ADSO, InfoObjects, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, and LSA++ architecture.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA push-down concepts, performant modeling, and BW/4HANA optimization.
  • Experience with ODP-based extraction and integration from SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and external sources.
  • Knowledge of ABAP for BW, including CDS Views, AMDP, and debugging BW transformations and process chains.
  • Experience with BEx Queries and front-end tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI; fluent written and spoken English required.
