Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (React/Node)

Location: Remote from South Africa or Kenya; working hours aligned with U.S. client business hours, with flexibility for deployments, sprint planning, and on-call coverage.

What you will do

• Build responsive, high-performance web applications and reusable front-end components with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Design RESTful and GraphQL APIs and scalable back-end services using Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Design database schemas and optimize queries across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on AWS, GCP, and Azure using CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while maintaining code coverage and engineering standards.
• Monitor production systems, apply security best practices, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building and scaling production-grade web applications.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, API development, Git workflows, CI/CD, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms.
• Ability to work U.S. client business hours and provide flexibility for deployments, sprint planning, and on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Background building SaaS platforms, high-traffic applications, or enterprise software.
• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, or serverless computing.
• Experience leading technical design reviews or mentoring engineers.
