TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure & Automation) (AWS/Kubernetes/Terraform): Designing and automating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms with an accent on multi-cloud environments, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. Focus on optimizing reliability and performance, automating operational workflows, improving observability, and resolving production incidents.
Location: Remote from South Africa or Kenya; working hours aligned with U.S. business hours.

is hiring for a client that builds and operates modern cloud infrastructure supporting applications and engineering teams.
What you will do
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Build and maintain version-controlled infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Pulumi.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Deploy and manage Docker-based workloads and resilient Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
- Investigate production incidents, improve reliability, and collaborate with software engineers on deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker; Kubernetes; and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and production operations skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; remote work from South Africa or Kenya.
Nice to have
- Terraform-heavy or multi-cloud infrastructure experience.
- Experience supporting high-traffic or highly available applications.
- Familiarity with microservices, cloud cost optimization, observability, or platform engineering.
