Location: Must be able to work from our office in New Westminster, British Columbia, three days per week

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own the full character asset pipeline including modeling, sculpting, retopology, and texturing.
• Implement assets into Unreal Engine 5 while adhering to performance and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with technical artists, animators, and designers to ensure seamless in-game functionality.
• Participate in art reviews and iterate on assets based on feedback.
• Leverage existing assets and materials to maintain visual consistency and efficiency.
• Maintain clear and updated Jira tasks for effective project tracking.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in New Westminster, BC, three days per week.
• Proven experience with Unreal Engine 5 and asset implementation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing realistic human anatomy, clothing, and accessory creation.
• Expertise in Substance Painter, PBR workflows, and map baking.
• Proficiency in sculpting tools like ZBrush or 3D-Coat and modeling in Maya or Blender.
• Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and iteration.

Nice to have

• Passion for grounded, immersive FPS games and military themes.
• Experience with Marvelous Designer.
• Basic knowledge of character skinning, rigging, and hair card workflows.
• Experience working with outsourcing partners.
