Senior Backend Developer (C++)

Location: On-site in Limassol, Cyprus. Relocation support is available for the employee and family.

Compensation: €5,500–€7,500 net per month, plus a 13th salary.

hirify.global is a game developer and publisher creating Total Battle, an MMO 4X strategy game with political systems, alliances, player interaction, and continuously expanding game mechanics.

What you will do

• Design and develop core SDK and framework modules for game logic and backend services.
• Gather requirements and define APIs, protocols, and service-to-service interaction contracts.
• Build high-performance asynchronous and multithreaded systems using modern C++.
• Develop distributed services with idempotency, transactions, guaranteed delivery, scalability, stability, and fault tolerance.
• Design ORM and data persistence layers using PostgreSQL and Redis, including observability through metrics, logs, and tracing.
• Improve developer tools and CI/CD workflows, refactor legacy code, participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, mentoring, and R&D.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience with a statically typed language under Linux.
• 3+ years of commercial experience with C++17/20.
• Strong knowledge of asynchrony and multithreading, including threads, futures, coroutines, and atomics.
• Experience with network communication, REST/RPC, gRPC, HTTP, WebSocket, TCP, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and high-load services.
• Knowledge of software design, SOLID, Clean Code, IoC/DI, GoF patterns, system scaling, caching, degradation, and SLA/SLO/SLI.
• English B1 or higher and Russian B2 or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMake, Conan, Python tooling, Docker, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Familiarity with GTest, Valgrind, Perf, and sanitizers.
