TL;DR
Embedded Linux Software Developer (C++/Embedded Linux): Designing and implementing embedded Linux system measurement device platforms for emissions measurement with an accent on ARM architectures and system integration. Focus on developing high-precision instrumentation, configuring U-Boot/Linux kernels, and implementing communication protocols like CAN and EtherCAT.
Location: Hybrid in Budapest, Hungary (up to 60% home office). Willingness to travel to Graz, Austria, a few times a year is required.

What you will do
- Participate in instrumentation product development for emissions measurement devices from ideation to deployment.
- Design, implement, and test embedded Linux system measurement device platforms.
- Perform system configuration and integration of embedded systems.
- Collaborate with international agile project teams using Scrum.
- Create technical documentation for system components and measurement principles.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or Electrical Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of C/C++ and experience in Linux-based embedded software on ARM architectures (NXP i.MX8, Xilinx UltraScale).
- Experience with Yocto Project or similar embedded Linux build systems.
- Proficiency with communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and EtherCAT.
- English: Fluent (C1) required.
Nice to have
- Understanding of U-Boot and the Linux kernel.
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps), containerization, and automated testing.
- German language proficiency.
