Senior Accountant (GAAP/IFRS)

Location: Must be based in South Africa. The role requires flexibility to align with U.S. client business hours.

What you will do
- Lead monthly and quarterly close processes with a 5-day target.
- Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Manage general ledger operations, including accruals, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Perform variance analysis and deliver executive-ready financial insights.
- Support external audits by preparing PBC schedules and maintaining documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation for accounting workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Must be based in South Africa and able to work during U.S. business hours.
Nice to have
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in SaaS, Real Estate, or Professional Services industries.
- Background in multi-entity accounting and foreign currency management.
- Experience with ERP implementation and financial dashboard tools.
