Senior Accountant (GAAP/IFRS)

What you will do

• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes with a 5-day target.
• Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Manage general ledger operations, including accruals, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform variance analysis and deliver executive-ready financial insights.
• Support external audits by preparing PBC schedules and maintaining documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation for accounting workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
• Must be based in South Africa and able to work during U.S. business hours.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in SaaS, Real Estate, or Professional Services industries.
• Background in multi-entity accounting and foreign currency management.
• Experience with ERP implementation and financial dashboard tools.
