Senior Software Engineer C++ (Fintech)

Location: Onsite in Amsterdam, Chicago, or New York City

Salary: $185,000 – $225,000 base

What you will do

• Lead the development and global rollout of the Core platform across market data, pricing, and strategy focus groups.
• Develop exchange connectivity software using APIs (FIX, Websocket, HTTP) and optimize communication via kernel bypass and TLS tuning.
• Implement and optimize trading algorithms based on requirements from traders and quantitative researchers.
• Enhance the stability, reliability, and observability of the trading engine in collaboration with Trading Operations.
• Investigate and resolve critical production issues, including crashes and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with technical traders and quants to refine requirements and iterate on platform design.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of professional C++ software development experience (experience in proprietary trading is preferred).
• Deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and multithreaded/asynchronous programming.
• Proven ability to write clean, reliable, and highly scalable code.
• Strong interest in maximizing hardware and software performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
