What you will do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish Target Product Profiles and determine early product positioning.
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to analyze disease epidemiology, patient journeys, and competitor strategies.
  • Develop revenue forecasts for pipeline assets in alignment with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Pricing, and Regulatory departments.
  • Provide analytical support to assess and prioritize pipeline programs as part of the Long Range Planning process.
  • Act as the central hub for all functions related to new product evaluation and planning.
  • Create comprehensive business cases that consolidate findings from commercial evaluations.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in Japan
  • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in New Product Planning, Marketing, or similar roles.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in Hematology and Oncology.
  • M.S. (or PhD) or B.S. degree; MBA is preferred.
  • Understanding of Japanese regulations (PMDA/MHLW) and commercial strategy.
  • Strong strategic problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach to net profit.

Nice to have

  • Broad cross-functional experience in sales, clinical development, medical, or regulatory roles.
  • Ability to develop P&L, including sales forecasts and OPEX/HC plans.
