Network Engineering Professional

TL;DR
Network Engineering Professional (Network Infrastructure): Supporting the design, deployment, testing, maintenance, and ongoing support of global network infrastructure with an accent on LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, routers, switching, and cloud security. Focus on coordinating technical deliveries, managing vendors and field engineering teams, resolving delivery risks, and implementing network improvements.

What you will do
- Support the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of network infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain global wireless, LAN, and SD-WAN networks and connectivity.
- Install, test, and configure physical and virtual firewalls, routers, switches, monitoring systems, and related software.
- Plan and manage technical deliveries, dependencies, risks, resources, KPIs, and handover to operations and customers.
- Coordinate vendors, suppliers, field engineering teams, clients, and internal stakeholders throughout network deployments.
- Identify process improvements, support technology lifecycle planning, and contribute to infrastructure security and technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Professional qualification or accreditation.
- Mandatory project management skills and experience.
- Good knowledge of networks, infrastructure, network management, products, and services.
- Knowledge of global network suppliers such as Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson, Ciena, Huawei, or Nortel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in a process-driven workflow environment.
- Strong understanding of BT’s global networks and technologies.
