Senior Security Engineer (Application Security)

What you will do

• Partner with engineering and platform teams to design secure, scalable solutions and conduct architecture reviews.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and risk assessments across applications, APIs, and AI systems.
• Embed security throughout the SDLC and guide teams on secure coding practices.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and attack surface reduction programs.
• Design and implement security controls specifically for AI/ML platforms, including protection against prompt injection and model abuse.
• Provide strategic oversight for perimeter defenses including WAF, API gateways, and bot mitigation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Application Security/PT.
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in threat modeling methodologies like STRIDE, PASTA, and ATT&CK.
• Experience with Cloud Security (GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, and container security.
• Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts and OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and mentor engineers on secure design practices.
