TL;DR
Senior Development Tester (Gamedev): Validating audio content and integration for Dead by Daylight with an accent on sound effects, music, and voice-over quality. Focus on collaborating with audio designers to ensure technical standards across PC and console platforms using Wwise and Unreal Engine.
Location: Must be based in or able to work from Montreal, QC (Hybrid)

What you will do
- Test audio elements including sound effects, music, and voice-over for timing, layering, and playback accuracy.
- Validate audio integration within gameplay, UI, cinematics, and Wwise systems.
- Assess audio quality, including mix consistency, loudness, and spatial audio behavior across platforms.
- Document and manage audio defects in Jira with detailed reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with audio designers and developers to verify fixes and execute regression testing.
- Maintain test cases and checklists to ensure high-quality audio standards.
Requirements
- Experience with audio middleware (Wwise or FMOD) and DAWs (Reaper or Pro Tools).
- Strong understanding of audio fundamentals like EQ, compression, and gain staging.
- Proven ability to identify audio artifacts and implementation issues.
- Experience with QA methodologies and bug lifecycle management in Jira.
- Familiarity with game development workflows in Unreal Engine and testing on PC/consoles.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills.
