Campus FPGA Engineer (Intern)

Location: Must be based in Chicago

Salary: $250,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop ultra-low-latency hardware systems for trading algorithms.
• Work on complex networking, high-performance computing, and real-time acceleration tasks.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and researchers on custom hardware solutions.
• Implement and verify RTL designs for high-performance trading infrastructure.
• Contribute to the optimization of core trading engines and custom hardware components.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Must be based in Chicago for the duration of the internship.
• Strong experience with FPGA design and development.
• Proficiency in RTL (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL).
• Experience with C, C++, or Python.
• Previous internship experience in hardware or low-level software engineering.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of RISC-V or lowRISC architectures.
• Experience with HLS, OpenCL, Chisel, or Bluespec.
• Background in Linux kernel and driver programming.
• Familiarity with high-speed networking, robotics, or telecommunications.
