Senior GRC Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York Office or based in Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, or Virginia. US Citizenship is required; this position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.

Compensation: $97,000 – $184,000 (depending on tier), plus equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Implement and operationalize security and compliance controls across hirify.global products.
• Own end-to-end remediation of compliance and security findings, from identification to closure.
• Build scalable evidence collection and control-testing workflows to improve audit readiness.
• Translate customer, audit, and internal control requirements into practical technical actions for delivery teams.
• Drive continuous control improvement across a segmented product suite.
• Collaborate with Product, R&D, and Security Engineering to shape GRC automation and operating rhythms.

Requirements

• Experience implementing security or compliance controls in cloud, SaaS, or regulated technology environments.
• Proven ability to build repeatable evidence collection or remediation workflows.
• Experience supporting assurance programs such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
• Track record of influencing cross-functional work in a senior individual contributor role.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Strong communication skills to explain risk and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with Trust Center operations or customer-facing security request workflows.
• Familiarity with identity and access management tools like Okta and MFA enforcement.
• Experience with GRC automation or workflow tooling for evidence collection.
• Exposure to blockchain, fintech, or other high-trust environments.
