Inventory Accounting Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

Salary: $45 - $50 per hour

What you will do

• Enter and reconcile contract manufacturing activity, ensuring accuracy of production runs and cost details.
• Track and analyze inventory movements including receipts, transfers, and consumption for proper financial recognition.
• Support production activities and build assembly transactions, ensuring Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurately reflected.
• Process prepaid supplier invoices and purchase orders while performing regular vendor statement reconciliations.
• Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure data accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of inventory accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with contract manufacturing reporting and reconciliation to ERP systems.
• Strong comprehension of inventory flows, including COGS, WIP, and finished goods.
• Hands-on experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and build assemblies.
• High proficiency in Excel for working with large datasets and complex reconciliations.
• Experience utilizing and navigating D365 and Exflow.
