Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage site functions, including financial results, operating earnings, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead safety processes to reduce injuries and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Oversee site food safety programs and participate in the Food Safety Steering and Recall teams.
• Build and lead an effective team, including succession planning and filling vacancies.
• Maintain plant equipment and establish process controls to meet production requirements.
• Engage in new business development and manage customer satisfaction to drive revenue.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree required.
• Experience working with a Labor Union, including negotiating at least one contract.
• Broad finance background with a strong understanding of P/L and product costs.
• Proven ability to build and lead effective teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required by the role.

Nice to have

• Experience in the packaging industry, specifically cup manufacturing.
• Business degree.
• Knowledge of printing technologies, particularly Flexo and offset printing.
• 10-15 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5-10 years of experience in a customer-driven make-to-order environment.
