Software Engineer (Android)

Location: Hybrid (Prague)

What you will do

• Develop and improve Android-based mobile applications using Kotlin.
• Deliver end-to-end features, from technical design to release and monitoring.
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code, including refactoring and deprecation work.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to build user-focused tools.
• Conduct code reviews and manage source control and build processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience developing and shipping Android applications in Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture (MVVM or MVI, ViewModel, Coroutines, Flow).
• Experience with REST APIs, Retrofit, OkHttp, and Room.
• Knowledge of dependency injection (Hilt, Dagger, or Koin) and modularized codebases.
• Experience writing unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso).
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with backend development in Node.js or PHP.
• Proficiency with MariaDB or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
