Lead Electrical Engineering Technician (Electrical Engineering): Applying advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges and develop innovative engineering solutions for sustainable infrastructure with an accent on digital design and project coordination. Focus on utilizing CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to create technical documentation while ensuring technical quality and budget compliance.

Location: Houston, TX, US. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion.

What you will do

  • Lead technical design activities and solve complex challenges within the electrical engineering discipline.
  • Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation and project deliverables using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools.
  • Coordinate across departments and stakeholders to ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
  • Supervise and guide engineering technicians and support staff in conceptual and detailed design activities.
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce design and graphic standards in alignment with Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of design guides, standards, and process change management initiatives.

Requirements

  • Typically a minimum of 15 years of related work experience.
  • Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding, including criminal/civil background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
  • Experience in a lead technician or supervisory role.
