TL;DR

Senior Gameplay Engineer (Unreal Engine 5): Designing and implementing core gameplay technology for The Witcher 4 with an accent on scalability, performance, and system robustness. Focus on building complex combat, animation, and locomotion systems within a high-budget AAA production environment.

Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid mode available)

Salary: 23,700 – 37,455 PLN gross monthly

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and optimize core gameplay systems for a large-scale AAA project.
  • Take ownership of key gameplay features to ensure high quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop internal tools and debugging utilities to streamline the gameplay development process.
  • Collaborate with designers and QA teams to define technical scope and delivery plans.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional programming experience in the games industry.
  • Proven experience contributing to the shipment of at least one AAA title.
  • Strong expertise in C++ and Unreal Engine 5.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D vector mathematics, matrices, and linear algebra.
  • Experience designing combat, animation, locomotion, or physics systems.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
