Producer, MS NOW Digital (Social Video/Political News): Conceiving, writing, producing, and editing vertical video, livestreams, graphics, and social content for TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms with an accent on rapid breaking-news production, sharp editing, and political storytelling. Focus on transforming news segments into original social videos, developing social franchises, and producing compelling content under tight deadlines.
Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule with office attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
Salary: $93,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do
- Conceive, write, produce, and edit at least two vertical videos daily for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
- Transform news segments and original reporting into compelling, fast-moving social videos.
- Produce graphics, carousels, thumbnails, headlines, scripts, and YouTube livestreams.
- Respond quickly to breaking news and develop content that leads the news cycle.
- Generate short-term and long-term video pitches and develop new social franchises with senior leaders.
- Collaborate with anchors, contributors, reporters, and dayside show teams.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in social media editing, producing, and writing.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere and the ability to shoot and edit quickly when speed is critical.
- Experience producing original digital video and writing scripts for digital audiences.
- Strong editorial judgment, accuracy, nuance, and knowledge of U.S. politics.
- Knowledge of YouTube livestream technology, social platforms, native editing tools, and digital camera and audio equipment.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and willingness to work in New York, NY. Ability to work flexible hours under breaking-news pressure and tight deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva.
- Ability to develop story ideas, conduct research, and plan segments.
- Strong collaboration, independence, follow-through, and attention to detail.
