What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
• Develop modular, service-oriented architecture for data ingestion and transformation
• Implement data contracts, schema validation, and governance systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments
• Collaborate across platform, data, and governance teams

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in New York, NY
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and basic design patterns
• Experience building backend services or distributed systems
• Familiarity with unit, integration, and mocking testing practices

Nice to have

• Exposure to data systems such as pipelines, warehouses, or lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with observability concepts (logs, metrics, tracing)
• Experience working in cloud environments
