TL;DR
Platform Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript): Building and maintaining backend services and core components for a central enterprise data platform with an accent on scalable systems and developer workflows. Focus on developing modular service-oriented architecture for data ingestion, transformation, and access.
Location: Onsite in New York, NY
Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 yearly

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Develop modular, service-oriented architecture for data ingestion and transformation
- Implement data contracts, schema validation, and governance systems
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments
- Collaborate across platform, data, and governance teams
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in New York, NY
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and basic design patterns
- Experience building backend services or distributed systems
- Familiarity with unit, integration, and mocking testing practices
Nice to have
- Exposure to data systems such as pipelines, warehouses, or lakehouse architectures
- Familiarity with observability concepts (logs, metrics, tracing)
- Experience working in cloud environments
