Technical Buyer

What you will do

• Execute day-to-day purchasing activities including processing requests, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders.
• Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, and procurement risks to ensure material availability.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to align purchasing priorities with program objectives.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Quality, and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and delivery discrepancies.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by sourcing prototype and development hardware.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP records and contribute to procurement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer service and urgency.

Nice to have

• Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with supplier quality processes and corrective action management.
• Experience working with complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Professional supply chain certification (SCMP, CPSM, CSCP, APICS, or CIPS).
