TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (Hardware): Designing and developing PCB layouts and electrical systems for eReader products with an accent on system validation and ODM collaboration. Focus on board bring-up, component selection, and ensuring hardware compatibility with mechanical designs.
Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Taipei, Taiwan, with travel to manufacturing facilities in Asia

What you will do
- Design and develop PCB layouts specifically for eReader applications.
- Collaborate with ODM electrical engineering teams to review electronics sub-systems and PCB designs.
- Perform board bring-up and validate subsystems throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop test strategies and execute platform validation plans to meet quality criteria.
- Research and manage technical specifications for electrical components for future products.
- Conduct failure analysis and debugging to ensure electrical design compatibility with mechanical and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related fields.
- Must be based in Taipei, Taiwan, and available for work in the lab and at vendor facilities.
- Knowledge of electrical designs and validation at both system and sub-system levels.
- Experience with lab measurement instruments including high-speed oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing facilities and suppliers in Asia.
- Scripting knowledge to connect to lab equipment such as DMM and oscilloscopes.
