Electrical Engineer (eReader)

Location: Kobo Taiwan, Taipei; hybrid work split between the lab and on-site vendor facilities. Travel to manufacturing facilities, ODMs, and suppliers in Asia is required.

What you will do

• Design and develop PCB layouts for eReader applications.
• Review electrical subsystem designs and PCB layouts with ODM engineering teams.
• Support board bring-up, subsystem testing, validation, and sign-off across development stages.
• Develop test strategies, write test cases, and execute platform validation plans.
• Research electrical components and create and manage technical component specifications.
• Support design reviews, failure analysis, debugging, manufacturing compatibility, and program progress reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field; relevant graduates without professional experience are accepted.
• Knowledge of electrical design and system- and subsystem-level validation.
• Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and experience with laboratory measurement instruments.
• Experience scripting connections to DMMs, oscilloscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
• Analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to travel to ODMs, manufacturing facilities, and component vendors in Asia.
