Senior Data Engineer (RegTech)

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (RegTech): Designing and owning end-to-end regulatory data products including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration with an accent on scalable technical designs and regulatory compliance. Focus on building data marts, REST API endpoints, and implementing CI/CD practices for supervisory reporting.

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD

What you will do

• Own regulatory-related data products end-to-end, spanning ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and delivery.
• Develop and deliver BI reports, data marts, and REST API endpoints for the Compliance organization.
• Establish unit and regression testing practices for CI/CD using declarative languages like YAML and Terraform.
• Partner with compliance and business stakeholders to solve complex regulatory data challenges within an Agile framework.
• Provide thought leadership on architecture, tooling, and standards for scalable data analytics solutions.
• Mentor analytics engineers and analysts to foster an open and scalable data culture.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; new employment visa sponsorship is not provided.
• 5+ years of experience solving data problems with internal and external stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience with data ingestion (CSV, JSON, REST), transformation (dbt), and pipeline orchestration (Databricks and/or Airflow).
• 2+ years of experience with trading and/or regulatory reporting (e.g., CAT, OATS, trade monitoring).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL).
• Experience with DynamoDB, Unity Catalog, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI reporting tools such as Sigma.
