TL;DR
Payments Associate (Global Payment Services): Processing and controlling global payments, resolving exceptions, and supporting the end-to-end payment lifecycle with an accent on SWIFT formats, banking connectivity, operational controls, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on investigating payment discrepancies, identifying control gaps, and implementing workflow improvements and automation across regional operations.

What you will do

  • Input, approve, and process payments accurately and securely according to procedures, controls, and documentation standards.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and errors, perform basic root cause analysis, and escalate critical exceptions.
  • Liaise with clients, investment managers, Treasury, Banking Operations, Client Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze payment and inquiry data to identify recurring issues, operational trends, and process friction points.
  • Support system enhancements, workflow changes, automation initiatives, audits, compliance reviews, and special projects.
  • Maintain procedures, checklists, and records while contributing to control remediation and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of global payment processes, settlement flows, and banking connectivity.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT payment formatting and field definitions; MX experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Postsecondary education in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to interpret data and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Knowledge of fund administration and experience supporting process improvements are advantageous.
