Senior Java Engineer (Java/Spring)

Location: Onsite in Manila (One Ayala Tower 2)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-scale backend services using Java and Spring.
• Build and deliver robust microservices while contributing to key architectural decisions.
• Collaborate within a high-performing Agile team to deliver reliable solutions at scale.
• Mentor fellow engineers and actively contribute to engineering chapters.
• Drive and implement engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with Java 8+ and the Spring Framework (Boot, MVC).
• Proven track record of developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically Oracle and Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Expertise in unit and integration testing using JUnit.
• Location: Must be based in Manila (One Ayala Tower 2)

Nice to have

• Experience with container platforms and cloud-native tools like Docker and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, or Azure DevOps.
