Data Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (GCP): Building and optimizing data pipelines and warehouses for diverse clients with an accent on GCP and Snowflake. Focus on dimensional data modeling, SQL optimization, and integrating BI tools like Looker.

Location: Hybrid (2x/week in Alfragide). Must be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and warehouses using SQL and GCP.
• Implement and manage dimensional data modeling within Snowflake.
• Build and optimize BI reports and dashboards using Looker and LookerML.
• Manage version control and collaborative development using Git.
• Collaborate with international partners to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with GCP environment and BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Looker and LookerML.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling in Snowflake.
• Fluency in Portuguese (C1) and English (B2/C1) is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT).
• Programming experience using Python.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Prior experience in the retail or e-commerce industry.
• Google Cloud Certification.
