TL;DR
NPU Accelerator SW Engineer (Automotive): Developing and integrating low-level software that enables NPU accelerators on automotive-grade MCUs and MPUs with an accent on BSP integration, real-time systems, and AI/ML workloads. Focus on hardware-software interfaces, debugging and performance tuning on target hardware, and meeting automotive safety and coding standards.

What you will do
- Develop and integrate low-level software for NPU accelerators on automotive-grade MCUs and MPUs.
- Integrate NPU functionality into BSPs and layered automotive software stacks while meeting real-time and safety requirements.
- Work with bare-metal, RTOS, AUTOSAR, and embedded Linux environments to support AI/ML workloads.
- Collaborate with hardware, AI/ML, and systems engineering teams to define and optimize accelerator usage.
- Debug, validate, and tune performance on target automotive hardware.
- Support compliance with ISO 26262 and MISRA C/C++ coding guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of embedded software development experience using Embedded C/C++.
- Proficiency in bare-metal or RTOS environments and/or embedded Linux, including Yocto or Buildroot.
- Experience integrating software into large, layered software stacks.
- Strong understanding of hardware-software interfaces, memory-mapped I/O, and DMA.
Nice to have
- Experience with NPU or AI accelerator integration and embedded inference frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite or ONNX Runtime.
- Knowledge of functional safety, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and MISRA compliance.
- Exposure to ADAS, sensor fusion, audio algorithms, DSP, HiFi5, accelerator firmware or driver development, multicore programming, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and agile development methodologies.
