System Development Engineer Steering Systems (Automotive): Developing steering functions and system architectures for Steer-by-Wire and Rear-Wheel Steering systems with an accent on vehicle dynamics, functional safety, and system integration. Focus on defining safety concepts, managing system models, and executing comprehensive testing activities including SiL, HiL, and vehicle testing.
Location: Must be based in Graz, Austria (Hybrid work model available).
Salary: €60,970 (base for negotiation).

What you will do
- Develop steering functions and system architectures for Steer-by-Wire and Rear-Wheel Steering.
- Define functional and safety concepts in accordance with ISO 26262.
- Create and manage system models and technical requirements.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and ECUs into vehicle architectures.
- Plan and execute simulation, verification, and validation activities (SiL, HiL, vehicle testing).
- Coordinate development activities and manage work packages.
Requirements
- University degree in automotive engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in steering systems or vehicle dynamics development.
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, control systems, and functional safety (ISO 26262).
- Experience with modeling tools and Systems Engineering methodologies.
- Excellent English proficiency; German language skills are an advantage.
- Strong analytical approach to complex system-level challenges.
Nice to have
- Specific knowledge of Steer-by-Wire or active steering systems.
- Experience in technical leadership or development management.
