Principal Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Compensation: MXN 80,000 - MXN 94,000 monthly

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Build and extend automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.
• Orchestrate complex ETL workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure high availability and performance of the data platform.
• Optimize pipeline performance and ensure data quality through rigorous testing and validation.
• Drive the implementation of data security and access control policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong ETL and data warehousing background.
• 4+ years of experience with Apache Airflow.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• English proficiency required (interviews will be conducted in English).
