Tender Engineer Process (Waste-to-Energy)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; candidates based in other locations may also be considered, with Milan, Bratislava, and Levice as preferred alternatives. Employment is arranged locally in the candidate’s country of residence.

Waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology organization developing systems that convert waste into energy, heat, hydrogen, and fertilizer.

What you will do

• Develop process designs, system sizing, and cost estimates during the proposal phase of international waste-to-energy EPC projects.
• Prepare heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams, and performance guarantees with Chief Engineers.
• Optimize system integration and coordinate interfaces across engineering, construction, procurement, and logistics disciplines.
• Review contract specifications, assess project risks and opportunities, and participate in technical clarification and negotiation meetings.
• Prepare engineering and procurement budgets, requests for quotations, offer analyses, and complete tender documentation.
• Hand over successful tenders to project execution and maintain tendering tools, templates, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an international EPC environment in energy, renewables, environmental technology, oil and gas, or a similar industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in project execution or tendering, with knowledge of process engineering and technical cost drivers.
• Experience with waste-to-energy technologies, including combustion and boiler systems, flue gas treatment, water steam cycles, and balance of plant.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with an autonomous, proactive, curious, flexible, and team-oriented working style.
• Fluent English required.
