What you will do
- Own the quality strategy for a dedicated development group and act as the focal point for QA status, risks, priorities, blockers, and release readiness.
- Define and enforce QA best practices, testing standards, test strategies, and quality processes.
- Lead test planning, execution, regression testing, reporting, integration validation, and release validation.
- Review test plans, test cases, automation coverage, and testing strategies while promoting reliable and expanded automation.
- Partner with engineering, product, DevOps, QA leadership, and executives on quality decisions.
- Mentor automation engineers and investigate complex quality issues hands-on.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in QA, QA automation, test architecture, or similar roles.
- 4+ years of hands-on development experience with TypeScript and/or Python.
- Strong experience with manual and automated testing, including API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end validation.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, defect lifecycles, release processes, and maintainable software engineering practices.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, or similar automation frameworks.
- Experience testing Kubernetes-based systems, with strong technical understanding of Kubernetes and asynchronous flows.
Nice to have
- Experience in cybersecurity, data security, SaaS, cloud-native, or enterprise software.
- Experience with Docker, microservices, distributed systems, SQL, or backend data validation.
- Experience defining QA KPIs, dashboards, automation metrics, or release quality reports.
