Data Ops Engineer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Data Ops Engineer (Gamedev): Managing applications and data infrastructure in production environments hosted in private clouds and on-premise data centers with an accent on system stability and data service quality. Focus on supporting existing data infrastructure, onboarding customers, and solving critical IT environment issues.

Location: Hybrid: Three days from the office in Warsaw, Poland, and three days from anywhere per week.

What you will do

• Manage applications and data infrastructure within private clouds and on-premise data centers.
• Support and maintain existing data infrastructure to ensure high-quality data services.
• Develop new infrastructure components and create corresponding technical documentation.
• Act as a primary focal point for R&D teams and assist with customer onboarding.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and technical issues for specific R&D teams.
• Provide technical solutions and support for critical IT environments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in Linux administration.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration systems, specifically Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP network stack.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and basic application debugging abilities.
• Experience or understanding of message queue systems such as Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, or other NoSQL solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive).
• Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins or TeamCity.
• Proficiency in configuration management using Ansible.
