Mid-Level Android Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid, with in-office work at least 2 days a week; hirify.global HQ in London.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality Android projects using established engineering practices and guidelines.
• Build and improve features for an Android app used by more than 5 million active customers.
• Collaborate with designers to implement clean, platform-consistent interfaces.
• Work in a cross-functional Agile team and take ownership of engineering deliverables.
• Contribute to planning, implementation, execution, and delivery of substantial pieces of work.

Requirements

• Mid-level Android development experience.
• Strong Kotlin skills and familiarity with modern Android development.
• Knowledge of reactive programming techniques, including Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, or RxJava.
• Ability to contribute to technical architecture and design discussions.
• Commitment to unit and UI testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and smaller cross-functional, feature-focused teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose, KMM, Hilt, modularisation, or modern Android Jetpack components.
• Contributions to the Android community through blog posts, open-source projects, or talks.
