What you will do

• Plan, build, and ship product features from conception to launch, iterating based on customer feedback.
• Improve performance, reliability, and quality of key experiences used by millions of users.
• Run experiments to drive activation, retention, collaboration, and revenue in partnership with design and data science.
• Develop internal tools and platform improvements to enable engineers to ship quickly and safely.
• Contribute to team norms, code quality, and a culture of learning and thoughtful tradeoffs.

Requirements

• Less than two years of engineering experience.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and decompose complex problems into clean solutions.
• Proactive communication and high agency in owning work and driving projects forward.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch.
• Must be based in San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Intellectual curiosity and excitement about using AI as a real collaborator in development.
• Knowledge of computing pioneers such as Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, and Alan Kay.
