What you will do

• Lead and refine continental and regional strategy development processes to ensure alignment with foundation-wide priorities.
• Provide strategic partnership to leadership, offering structured problem solving and analytical insights for program execution.
• Manage integrated portfolios across multiple foundation teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and risk management.
• Lead and develop a Strategy, Planning & Management (SPM) team, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Design and refine measurement, learning, and evaluation (MLE) frameworks to track progress and inform strategic adjustments.
• Represent the foundation in regional forums and strengthen engagements with governments, grantees, and private sector partners.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) with 10+ years of professional experience in strategy, business management, or public health.
• Proven success in strategy development, execution planning, and performance management within a matrixed environment.
• Strong technical and financial acumen, including experience managing complex budgets and portfolios.
• Experience working with or advising governments, multilaterals, or large-scale implementation partners in Africa.
• Ability to travel up to 40% across the region.
• Must be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
