Principal Level Designer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Principal Level Designer (Gamedev): Shaping the level design strategy for a Free-to-Play game with an accent on level flow, pacing, and challenge balancing. Focus on analyzing level data, optimizing the production pipeline, and ensuring the "fun factor" for the target audience.

Location: Hybrid (Barcelona, Spain) - must be present in office at least 2 days per week

What you will do

• Conduct benchmarking of industry competitors to extract best practices and set quality goals.
• Create new levels using various tools following high-level objectives set by Product Leads.
• Analyze level data and economy (boosters, gold, etc.) to deliver insights and propose improvements.
• Own the level creation process, collaborating with developers and artists to implement new features.
• Optimize the production pipeline and content creation process, including documentation and QA tracking.
• Determine the overall level design strategy, including layout, timing, gameplay elements, and difficulty.

Requirements

• Experience designing levels for Free-to-Play (F2P) games with expertise in flow and pacing.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Tableau and Excel for design decisions.
• Working knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Deep knowledge of casual F2P games and player motivations.
• Strong English communication skills.
